Salt Lake City is an amazing place to visit, filled with interesting sights to see and explore. Attendees of the Zone Institute will find a rich cultural heritage and storied history reflects a landscape found nowhere else on Earth. Venture off the beaten path and see what it means to free yourself. Explore the Great Salt Lake, the largest saltwater lake in the Western Hemisphere. Look into the night sky with a million twinkling stars. Salt Lake City and the surrounding area has so much to see and do. Plan to arrive early and/or stay late so you can experience all that Salt Lake City has to offer.

Here are some of our recommendations for fun things to do while you’re here.


Enjoy the city’s burgeoning food scene of restaurants, food festivals, and farmer’s markets.


Players of all skill levels will find endless options. In fact, there are 14 golf courses in Salt Lake City, and 11 are municipal courses. There are also another 29 golf courses within 20 miles of Salt Lake City, including 6 public, 16 municipal and 7 private courses.


Salt Lake City is a great place to get out and explore. In fact, there are an incredible number of trails that right from the city, including:

  • Neff’s Canyon
  • Mt. Olympus
  • Bell’s Canyon
  • Bonneville Shoreline Trail
  • Grandeur Peak
  • Ensign Peak
  • Lake Blanche
  • Red Pine Lake
  • Grizzly Gulch
  • Lake Mary, Martha and Catherine

If you have a little more time, head to the trails in the canyons above town. The Wasatch mountain range is incredible, and definitely worth a visit. Be sure to pack your sunscreen and water.

Downtown Salt Lake City
